Science Fiction

~Rimon Farris was the first channel to discover that Simes did not have to kill to obtain selyn.
He married a Gen, sired seventeen sons and daughters, all of whom carried the Farris channel
trait into future generations.

Several generations later came Ray Kolin Farris, the Grandfather in HOUSE OF ZEOR .
His son, Ray Kay Farris, predeceased him, so he was succeeded by his grandson, Klyd.

Klyd Farris, of course, needs no introduction. After the end of H02, he ruled Zeor for
sixteen years more, during which time he fathered his heir, a daughter, Muryin. The date of his
death is unknown; at the end of his life he simply disappeared.

Muryin Farris became Sectuib at the age of 14 and ruled Zeor for 33 years. She married at-
18 and finally gave Zeor an heir at the age of 25. But, due to a history of problems in childbearing,
she never fully recovered her health. Muryin was an extremely intelligent and well-spoken woman,
whose books are quoted everywhere. At the age of 47, she was captured by the forces of Rior at
the Battle of Leander Territory. The Tecton believed her killed in the battle, but, in fact, she
remained at Rior and founded another Farris line, fathered by Jess Ambrov Rior, a descendant of
Hugh Valleroy. This line culminates in Ilyana Dumas and her brother, Roshi Ambrov Rior, a First
Order Channel.

Muryin's Tecton son, Hilo Klyd Farris, became Sectuib at 22. He had already been married for
three years to a distant Farris channel cousin, who bore him three surviving children. She died
giving birth to the youngest and only channel of the three, Orim Farris. Hilo Klyd ruled Zeor for
45 years, retired at 67, and died at the age of 87 of entran complications.

Orim became Sectuib at the age of 27 upon his father's retirement. He and his wife had five
surviving children of whom Digen was the youngest. Of Digen's four siblings, three were channels,
and so preceeded him in the succession. His other sister, Liam Bett Farris (called Bett), was a
Gen. Digen never expected to be Sectuib, but Orim, hiswife, and the three older channels died in
a shaking plague epidemic, leaving Digen Sectuib in Zeor at the age of 13. Orim was 50 when he
died; he had ruled Zeor for 23 years.

Digen Ryan Farris, the protagonist of UNTO ZEOR, FOREVER, underwent changeover at the
age of 10, which was early even for a Farris; and during his first year at Camp Rialite, a training
camp for channels just through changeover, be qualified as a First Order Channel. Shortly before
his parents' deaths, however, Digen was involved in an accident that severely injured one of his
left lateral tentacles. Such an injury had always been fatal, but the entire force of the Tecton ral-
lied behind Digen and sustained him until the lateral could heal. During this time, the plague swept
Zeor, leaving Digen Sectuib. Until he recovered enough to assume his duties, Bett acted as Head
of Householding.
